Mr Simon Phillips MA DM FRCS

Simon Phillips studied and trained at Oxford and Cambridge before completing his general surgical training in London. He undertook advanced training in colorectal disease at St. Mark’s Hospital, a national referral unit for complex bowel disorders. Following specialist registration, his laparoscopic training was completed in Bristol.
In addition to general coloproctology, his special interests include surgical treatment of rectal prolapse and pelvic floor disorders including those affecting bowel continence, and modern (day-case) stapling procedures for piles and disorders of defecation.
Mr Phillip’s laparoscopic practice is broad, covering bowel resection for cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, gallstones and abdominal hernia, including both laparoscopic incisional hernia and groin hernia repair.
