Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon

Qualified from Manchester Medical School 1984. Formerly Registrar Manchester Royal Infirmary 1988. Visiting Fellow University of Southern California, USA, 1992-1994.  He obtained his MD thesis in 1994. Senior Registrar University Hospital of Wales 1995. Senior Lecturer in Surgery, University of Leeds 1998-2001. Appointed Consultant Surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales 2002.

He is trained in all aspects of gastrointestinal surgery and has a special interest in oesophageal and gastric cancer. He undertakes diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and is trained in all aspects of laparoscopic surgery particularly the surgical treatment of gallstones, reflux disease , and obesity. Geoff also has an interest in Bariatric Surgery.
