Gastrointestinal Physiologist
Qualified as a Registered General Nurse at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn in 1992. team Leader of the Endoscopy Dept. at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, 1994, with a special interest in oesophageal and anorectal physiology and ambulatory pH monitoring. In 1997 completed the upper gastrointestinal measurements course at Coventry University and the lower gastrointestinal measurements course at Salford Royal Hospital.
In 2000 appointed senior clinical gastrointestinal physiology at Cheltenham General Hospital, specialising in: oesophageal and anorectal physiology, 24hr ambulatory pH monitoring, endoanal ultrasound scanning, biofeedback training and assisting colorectal surgeons with transrectal ultrasound scans for cancer staging and TEMS surgery. In 2002 became an Accredited Independent Practitioner as a member of the Association of Gastrointestinal Physiology (AGIP).
Appointed Gastrointestinal Physiologist at Nucleus Healthcare in 2008, where he runs the pH monitoring, oesophageal manometry, anorectal manometry and capsule endoscopy services.
