Nucleus Healthcare is a purpose built gastroenterology hospital. We are the only stand alone private gastroenterology hospital in the UK to provide patients with a uniquely comprehensive service, offering all gastroenterology procedures and investigations and surgery within one hospital.

15 minutes from the centre of Cardiff, Nucleus Healthcare was opened in January 2008. There are 2 floors covering a total of 27,000 square feet. Inspected and accredited by Health Inspectorate Wales, the hospital provides a wide range of gastroenterology investigations, treatments, laparoscopic surgery and weight loss procedures in a state of the art and patient orientated environment.

The ground floor is equipped with 10 indivdual en-suite rooms designed to reflect comfort and space with HD TV, free view channels, DVD player, free internet connection and telephone. There is also a laparoscopic theatre, endoscopy theatre, a recovery ward and a relatives room.

Outpatient facilities are located on the top floor along with capsule endoscopy, ultrasound and a PH manometry areas.

Our clinical and nursing teams are specialists in gastroenterology and committed to delivering the best healthcare has to offer. Our staff have been selected because of their clinical expertise, they are leaders within their specialist areas. They are all aware how difficult it can be for patients to seek medical intervention for sometimes difficult or embarrassing problems.
